Every fall, Luba Travis speaks on behalf of Operation

Christmas Child. The shoebox giving in every venue increases
at least double and sometimes four-fold. Luba was a shoebox
recipient in Moldova. She has been speaking for Operation
Christmas Child since 2005 to inspire people to continue
making shoeboxes.
Luba spoke at a large Christian school in Redding in 2009.
I want to partner with Luba.
Hellen Gathigia and the Limerock
Widows Self Help Group have inherited the Uniform Project from Milcah Mwaniki and her niece, Grace.
Hellen resides in Nanyuki, Kenya. Hellen dedicates her free hours and money to
providing uniforms for orphans and destitute children who cannot
afford a uniform. Uniforms are a requirement for children to
attend school. Education is the best way to combat AIDS. Without
knowledge, these kids have no protection.
The
average cost for a uniform is $12. In addition to bringing
uniforms, Hellen brings food, Bibles, and other necessities that the
children cannot afford. Those cost about $6 per child. A gift of $20 can provide a child with a uniform for 1 year
and food for several weeks.
The schools in Kenya operate on a 3 month session:1 month
holiday cycle. Hellen determines the needs and prepares the
uniforms during the holiday months: April, August, and December.
Your gift is welcome any time of year.
I want to partner with
Uniforms for Kenya.
Support needed for August 2010: $200 (That's 10 kids!)
